Bridge: PDF Dimensions metadata useless/incorrect

When a PDF file is selected in Bridge, the Dimensions metadata attribute shows some useless pixel dimensions which don't relate to the actual contents of the PDF. I'd be guessing but I'd say they actually relate to the embedded preview.

Can we not show actual printed dimensions, in cm and inches for PDFs? Ideally they'd be the Cropbox dimensions and Trimbox dimensions, so you could evaluate the size of the file without having to open it in Acrobat and check the Set Page Boxes panel.

Bridge CC 2018 still has limitations with multiple pages, page 2 reports the same page size as page 1, when it is different.

If the AI or PDF file is a single artboard or page, then:

A4 page, 210mm wide = 595px x 2.54cm / 72 (width in pixels multiplied by 2.54 divided by 72). For inches, it would be a little simpler, 595px / 72.

For those with the knowledge (not me), it should be pretty easy to create an Inspector panel to report on the width and height of a single page document, using the px to cm or in conversion outlined in the previous paragraph.

Even better would be a fix from Adobe for correct display of single or multi page/art board INDD, PDF and AI files.

It seems like something they could fix with little effort. Ridiculous that it is still unresolved so many versions later. And I still don’t get why PDF previews are so lame, Adobe invented the format!
