I have found that most of my previous concerns using the cropping tool in Camera Raw have been resolved. It seems to be behaving quite well now. Although, it is perhaps, not as convenient to use as it was before the update 9 or 10 months ago, the functionality is there. Previously, one could zoom in on an image, center it to one's liking, then presence the C key to enter cropping mode and draw a cropping box to easily frame the image as seen on screen. Now, it is necessary to first enter the cropping mode, press and hold 'ALT + CONTROL' (on Windows) to temporarily allow scrubby zooming, drag to zoom the image, press and hold the space bar to use the hand tool to center the image, and then draw the cropping margins to fit the screen. It works nicely.

I can crop, but cant move the crop
Hardly practical when you have 500 images to process and a deadline. I see many downsides to that. The legacy crop is far more efficient with the CPU and much faster to set accurately for lots of images.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The crop tool completely disappears in my (up-to-date) Camera Raw interface
Edit> Preferences> Performance> Deselect Use Graphics Processor
@Lance023 first thing I tried. Doesn't help...
How can we improve?
