Photoshop: Mini Bridge no longer available in Photoshop CC 2014 and later

Re. PS CC 2014, It appears that the "Mini Bridge" feature has been dropped. This is an important work flow capability for compositors and others who need to test new photographs within the work area quickly. When can we see this feature again?

Mini Bridge is essential to my workflow. Dropping it from the newest version, Photoshop CC 2014 is a huge step backwards.

From Adobe:

Mini Bridge

Mini-Bridge is an Extension Panel using Flash and therefore must be removed now that Flash is no longer supported in Photoshop. Bridge CC remains available as a stand-alone file browser application for designers and photographers needing to browse non-photographic file formats.

Mini bridge is essential for finding and testing photographs for compositing, not just non photographic files. Bridge CC means leaving Photoshop and not seeing your choices in situ. This was the intended purpose of the "Mini Bridge". If Flash is no longer supported isn't there another way to bring the photographic library into the Photoshop main body?

How do you do review mode in Bridge. That was one of my favorite features of mini-bridge. Also how do you rate photos in Bridge?
Can't you just bring back mini bridge?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Where is the mini bridge in Photoshop CC?.

The lessons that I am working with in Adobe Photoshop CC Classroom in a Book keep telling me to open the file in Mini Bridge. It used to be in the File drop down menu, in PS CS6, but I do not see it in the CC version. Am I missing it somewhere? Do I need to install it as an addon or select it from a setting in preferences?

Mini bridge no longer exists. If the book still mentions it, you should email the publisher and let them know.

I believe you have the old version of the book. Look for the updated version.

I beg adobe to put it in again. I'm an illustrator/graphic designer that is constantly searching through psds and references in mini bridge, bringing in files all the time within CS6 and is essential for my workflow. The speed of all this is reduced when it is separate from Photoshop and has me tabbing out to that window. This is the main reason why I am not fully committed to cc 2017 and will stay with cs6 for as long as i can. Is there not any way to code it into the program without flash?

ADOBE SHOULD BE MAKING THE PROGRAMS BETTER LIke OTHER COMPANIES, NOT WORSE. I CANNOT GET MINI BRIDGE IN MY PHOTOSHOP ANYMORE NOW EITHER.

Not having mini bridge is adding HOURS to my work. Please, for the love of God, bring it back!

If they could give us an extension panel that doesn't cause the app to lose focus when we click on it, but operates natively within the apps, I'd love it. But I wouldn't hold my breath for a version of Mini Bridge anytime soon. They gave us CC Libraries (not quite the same thing), and Bridge itself is undergoing an overhaul, so a Bridge extension panel is going to take a bit of time to come along , I'm guessing.
