Lightroom Classic: 10.0 changes exposure when zooming in to 100%

Images with the new LR (10.0/ Mac w Catalina) change brightness from fit-to-screen to full-size, making it very hard to edit and copy/paste settings if the output changes after you applied and then zoom in to full-size.

Similar issues here (Win10), the exposure was all over the place. It jumped when switching between photos in Develop (then after 3 seconds it updated to correct exposure) and in Library as well... I saw darker photos and it fixed only after zooming to 100 %. Pretty annoying in the Grid when you see all photos with half the brightness.

Seems to have resolved after purging the previews cache in the Preferences. So try it as well and it might be ok.

BTW this was for Canon R5 files as in your case. Maybe it has something to do with that.

@vitkovalcik Thanks! Deleting my previews and smart previews catalog seemed to have fixed the problem. Dreading having to open archived catalogs though!

Not happening on my Windows machine, tested with RAW and DNG images.

@bill_3305731 Lucky! I'm using Canon R5s... wonder if that has something to do with it...

There was a bug fixed that caused some Canon CR3's to expose about 1/2 stop dark. See: https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/camera-raw-and-dng/canon-r5-raw-images-are-underexposed/5f5f46294b561a3d42770353

When you zoom to 100% you force a new preview to be generated and that fixes the previous exposure bug.

Doesn't happen for me on Catalina with LR 10. Nikon D800 raw files here.

I don't have this problem on Mojave with LrC10 and 5D4 raw files.
