Lightroom Classic: DJI Mavic Pro 2 Embedded profile missing

Lightroom Classic no longer applies the Embedded profile for DJI Mavic 2 Pro DNG files. As a result, the colors look totally off for my photos. I see that for some photos I imported some time ago, the Embedded profile shows up. However, if I re-import them, it's no longer there and the colors are different.

It seems that the Embedded profile feature has been broken in the latest release.

Please see the DNG image for which I'm no longer able to use the Embedded profile at this Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gqf51gwinokp78v/AADhu-Qsy5Q9bA2Ce5BMe84ga?dl=0

Also, included, are two screenshots of the same image in Lightroom, one showing embedded profile used, the other showing the profile used after re-importing. There is no option to use Embedded profile after re-importing and the colors are very different.

I opened the DNG in LR 8.2.1 and LR 10.3 and noticed a significant change in colors too.

LR 10.2 added support for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro (Hasselblad L1D-20c) raw photos in 10.2:

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Prior to 10.2, as you've observed, LR used the profile embedded in the DNGs; in the Basic panel, this is indicated by "Profile: Color".  But when Adobe added raw support for the camera, LR is  now using Adobe's profile by default, which is indicated in the Basic panel by "Profile: Adobe Color".

By default, the embedded profile isn't displayed in the profile browser, and it's pretty obscure how to get it displayed:

  1. Open the Profile Browser.
  2. Click the + button in the upper-left, then Manage Profiles.
  3. Check Legacy.

Now when you open the Profile Browser, there will be a Legacy group, and for the DJI Mavic Pro, you'll see Embedded.

You can make the embedded profile the default by defining a Develop preset "DJI Mavic 2 Pro Embedded" that refers to the Embedded profile and then changing the camera defaults for that camera to use that preset.

Please upload a sample problem photo to Dropbox or similar and post the sharing link here. That will make it easier for Adobe to narrow down the issue quickly.

Do you have any custom defaults set in preferences?
