Lightroom Classic: Presets look totally different after editing to PS / LRC Presets wirken total anders nach Bearbeitung in Photoshop

Hey all!

(English version below).

Hi.

I have the following problem and it´s annoying...

If I put a photo (RAW) from LRC to PS and maybe only stamp a spot away, save it and apply my presets in LRC, then my presets look totally different. The colors are different and not the way I created them. And now comes the funny thing!

If I apply the preset in LRC "before" sending it to PS, nothing happens to the appearance of the preset...

The presets work exactly as I designed them. Even if I save the photo  and view it in LRC. I don't know what to do....

The German Adobe Support is not particularly helpful either ... Can someone please help me?

If you send a raw image to Photoshop, you will get a rendered (RGB) copy, either tiff or psd. If your preset applies a white balance change, then this will look different on such a rendered image. The reason is that raw images do not have a white balance yet, so for raw images you set the white balance. Rendered images already have a white balance applied, so such a preset will not work correctly with a rendered image. With rendered images you can only change the white balance, which is something different. Creative profiles applied by a preset may also look different.

@Johan_Elzenga  That´s it! Thank you for the advice. That means for me now to create new presets with the same setting without  choosing WB for my

LR ->PS ->LR Workflow. I can live with that :) Thanks

A preset is not going to look the same when applied to a raw/jpeg as it will when applied to a tif. You are reporting what I'd expect.

Did I miss something?

@ bill_3305731 I sent the Picture as a TIFF to PS. I get the same results like before... The preset looks still different...

If I understand your original posting, you processed it as a jpg/raw before you sent it to PS.
