Lightroom, file name tokens without spaces when renaming

I'm facing a dead end for my file naming convention workflow.

My actual file naming format is "date - camera model - number suffix".
It works fine until you try to filter by file names (i.e.: TTG Client Response galleries). Spaces frustrate the whole mechanism.

Camera model may indeed include spaces. Camera model field for my Nikon D300 is "NIKON D300", where the same field for my Fujifilm X10 is just "X10".

No matter what, you'll always have at least a single space in the file name for each D300 photo.

Could you please modify the behavior by either:
1) Take just the actual camera model name (last word)
2) Add an option to substitute spaces with given character no matter what.

Thanks.

1) Take just the actual camera model name (last word)

But there are camera models with space in their names too (E.g. the american "Digital rebel").

2) Add an option to substitute spaces with given character no matter what.

The second request seems to specific.

A more universal approach would be searching for exact occurrences of phrases, like "NIKON D300" (here, the quotation marks assure exact match, including spaces).

Will it work for you?

Dorin, no, it won't be the same.
I have to remove spaces from the name in order to have the very same name on Lightroom and online.
It wouldn't fix the issue to be able to search strings with spaces.
Anyway, that linked discussion is a different one which I find to be quite true...
