Lightroom Desktop: Impossibly slow sync - Windows 10

I have add'ed a little over 10k pictures (raw) to lightroom - the add process went just fine, but the sync process is painfully slow. I am on a fairly new system, hardwired and with a fiber 500/500Mbit connection, so I know I have the ressources.

With this speed it will be weeks before the sync has done its job.

What is wrong?

I have genereated a log file - cant see how to post it :-)

How many images are left to sync?
How many images sync per hour?
If you use speedtest.net to test your speed what is your upload speed clocking in at?

Ca 11000 - like 20 per hour :-) Max upload I have seen is 15-20Mbps - which out of 500 is ... well not very usefull. But there is many breaks so not solid upload, very random.

Speedtest.net shows me at 518Mbps - https://www.speedtest.net/result/9406645717

Yes - and tried over several days - I cant try a different computer, the files are local to this machine now I guess?.. But its an Ryzen 2700x 32gb ram NVME and SSD storage, so .. performance is normally ok :-)

Log files are useful in stuck sync situations but not so much in slow sync situations.

You are correct in that the files are currently local so that trying a different computer won't help.

Are you using a NAS?

I am using a file server - not a NAS per se - connected directly to my pc with 10Gbit networking.  Only one user, etc.
