Lightroom Mobile: Duplicate issue after cleaning local files

I recently cleaned up all locally stored images on my Android device (Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Android 9). Since then, most images won't import due to Lightroom Mobile being tricked into thinking these newly captured images are duplicates of images already stored in the cloud. I.e. a fresh image with file name DSC_1705.JPG (captured 03-10-2020) won't import (automatic/manual both fail) because there is already a file with that name in the cloud (captured 13-09-2020, before I cleaned local files). I have not testet renaming any of the files, but that is out of the question anyway as a workaround due to too large volumes of files to rename.

In windows explorer if you highlight many files and type in a new name for them it will automatically name them with NewName_1 NewName_2 etc https://www.windowscentral.com/how-rename-multiple-files-bulk-windows-10

Thanks, but renaming multiple files on my Android phone, even if it could be done by selecting and renaming batches via the Gallery UI on the phone, simply won't do. I need my images to be imported automatically via auto import, which currently is not working due to false duplicates.
