Lightroom Mobile: Lightroom Classic: Collection Folders That Sync

It would be great if the folders from Lightroom Classic and Mobile were in sync. It would save a ton of time in organization and be a boon for workflows.

Folders in Lightroom Classic are completely different from folders in Lightroom Mobile. A folder in Lightroom Classic is a real folder; a place to store images on disk. A folder in Lightroom Mobile is a container for albums, like a collection set in Lightroom Classic. Or is that what you mean? Syncing collections sets and folders?

Yes I specially mean collection sets and folders on LRM. The fact that they don’t even have the same names is kinda part of my point. They should just be 1:1 since they’re virtually the same concept. If I spend any time managing folders on my iPad I then have to come back and re-manage them on classic and vice versa.

100%. It's so odd that when creating collections in classic and organizing in folders/sets that those don't sync to CC. On CC they get dumped into the main area, and yes you can then create a folder there and drag the albums into the folders and thus get the same organization as classic, but seems like such an odd manual step to have to do every time since other than the different terminology/names that are the same in Classic vs CC. My only thought is they don't want to make the workflow of using Classic with CC too easy since of course then people won't upgrade to using CC alone with requires people to spend a lot more on storage. But here's for hoping, this gets fixed.

It's way simpler than that. Classic team's focus is on improving performance and optimizing the desktop workflow, while the cloudy teams are focused on multiple-device cloud-connected workflows.

I fully support improving Classic sync, but that team has bigger fish to fry right now.
