Photoshop Elements: How can I add text when creating a photomail?

How can I add text when creating a photomail.? All I can do is remove the automatically included text but cannot add my own. I had this same problem with PSE 7. I am using a PC with Windows 7 (64-bit) and had hoped that this problem would be solved after upgrading to PSE 10. Hope you can help me out.

Kind regards,

Inge

Creating a Photomail is a multiple step process. The first step is to select the photos. In step two, you choose the text that will appear in the email. After you remove the automatically added text of "Here are the files that I want to share with you." simply type your own message in the same area.

Once you have finished will all of the steps, if you are working with an email client (e.g. Outlook), your photomail will open in the client before being sent. This gives you a second opportunity to change or add text to your email.

Dear Brett,

Thank you for your reply. Even though I already do the steps mentioned I cannot change the text when the email client opens. This is my problem.

Maybe you have some suggestions how to solve this.

Regards,

Inge

I'm afraid once the email client opens, it's no longer in our hands. We certainly don't send any kind of "Read Only" tags to the client to prevent it from continuing to edit.

I'd suggest contacting the client manufacturer. I'd be careful about mentioning Photoshop Elements' involvement upfront because that tends to make tech support folks panic and turn you right back around. Just go to them and say, "I have this email I want to send and I can't make further edits to it". If they are not able to help you right off the bat, as troubleshooting continues it will be fine to mention Adobe.

Inge, were you ever able to add text to your email once you open it in the email client? I'm having trouble with the same thing. I'm using Outlook 2013. Thanks
