Option to disable swatches in the colour picker in PS.

Swatches in PS aren't very powerful and with the introduction of CC Libraries, I don't see any good reason they should still be there cluttering up the colour picker.

I propose adding an option to disable them for those of us who prefer to use Libraries instead and never touch the swatches, and using the extra space to make the recent colours panel larger, which is useful.

The color swatches are capable of far more than the CC Libraries, are much more compact and flexible UI wise than CC libraries, and are accessible in far more places than CC Libraries.

What exactly can they do that libraries can't?

Also, I am not saying they should be removed - a lot of users might find them useful and would appreciate having them in the colour picker, I was just suggesting an option to toggle them on or off in the colour picker and give recent colours more space - which for UI designers makes more sense.

Photoshop's swatches support color models that CC Libraries don't (including color book references), plus several display options that CC libraries does not offer.

And you're just talking about the vector tools color options, not the color picker (which is the modal dialog for selecting colors).

Oh, and other UI designers have said that recent colors are useless to them.

It sounds like you haven't explored much of what Photoshop can do, and may be missing out on a lot of what is available in Photoshop.
