At some point between Photoshop 2015 and 2020, the Swatches panel’s minimum height increased to about 150% of what it was before. I see there’s no change in Photoshop 2021.
There’s no particular need for this! I don’t see any UI that would break if the minimum height of the Swatches panel was reduced to what it was before. Please reduce the minimum height of the Swatches panel. Hiding the panel behind a click is no solution for me — my swatches must be visible at all times for quick access.
For background: I have a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 13. Many display tablets are made at the 13-inch size like mine, and certain resolution combinations in Windows can really make it tough to fit a sidebar with more than three visible panels, given Adobe’s (often sensible) minimum heights. But as a result of this change with Swatches I went from being able to see five layers in my layers panel to about two!
21.2.2, all the same, still not corrected but other developers are far more responsive.
