Photoshop: CC healing brush problems with update to MacOS X 10.9

After updating to Mavericks, I have noticed a few bugs. One, the healing brush tool often doesn't go away after making a correction (when using the tool it makes a dark mark showing where you used it... that doesn't go away until you use the tool again). Also when this bug happens, switching of tools won't work.

I do run a dual monitor setup with my photoshop pallets on the main computer screen and the image on the secondary screen. I have a brand new i7 iMac

Hi Rich, are you using a Wacom Tablet or mouse?

If you consolidate the menu, tools and documents on the main screen, do you have the same issue?

Hi Peter, which tablet model and which driver version are you running?

Intuous 4 (medium), the next latest version of the driver. I checked Wacom and the latest driver does not list 10.9 , just older versions. Did not download it to try to see if it worked or not because I assume that if it did work with 10.9 they would indicate as such.

Hi Peter,

it looks like there's a 10.9 driver here:

Latest Driver for Intuos
"MacOSX - Driver 6.3.7-3 (10.6x - 10.9x)"

Thanks, I saw this before but assumed it was for Intuous 5 because they have a section for Legacy drivers - I have an Intuos 4 tablet. I downloaded the newest version from the link you provided and it seems to work, BUT, will have to use it a while longer before I can say for certain.

Great. No rush. Let me know in a couple of days if you're trouble free so I can close this topic as solved and mark and official answer solution for other customers who may hit this.

Problem seems to have disappeared, somewhat. On rare occasion the healing brush will do the same thing where it seems to leave the mask mark, then goes away as soon as you use the brush again, but it is 99% better than it was before I updated the Wacom driver.

Jumped the gun, the problem still persists when using the healing brush.

Would you have time later in the week? Maybe we can do a connect session and do some additional debugging.
