This was fixed in the Mac OS X 10.9.1 update or later.

What does the crash report say?

Which OS version are you using?

Have you installed all the Photoshop and OS updates?

I am using the latest IMAC, OS X 10.9 Yes I am up to date with all my updates-both on mac and adobe

I uninstalled photoshop cs6 and then installed photoshop CC-thinking that would help, but it is still doing the same thing in both versions. My Dreamweaver is also doing it.

Anytime I go to SAVE my project it will open the dialog box but as soon as I start to scroll through to find where I am going to save my project it just crashes and shuts down-no report at all. just says it will send you the crash report, but gives no reason.

seems to happen mostly when i save to an external drive yet does happen when im saving lets say to my desktop etc...

If it crashes, there should be a crash report.

But MacOS 10.9 has some known bugs in the open and save dialogs (that affect all applications) -- just switch to any view OTHER than coverflow.

It's also possible that you're hitting an imageIO bug that crashes on certain files (TIFF, PSD, etc.) that it cannot read correctly - but that usually gives a crash report.
