Photoshop: How do I flip layers?

Why are their no plug-ins AT ALL in the plug-in folder?

My CD with Photoshop CS6 could not install on my new MacBook, so I purchased another CS6 directly from Adobe. This app is more limited than Photoshop Elements, and I cannot get it to flip layers, which is something I have to do in my work. The menu simply does not show a "flip layer" or "rotate layer" command. This is supposed to be the latest and best Photoshop?

I got my first Photoshop in 1989, and IT rotated layers.

If you want to flip layers, choose Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal/vertical

Why couldn't you install on your new Macbook? If it's simply because you don't have an optical drive, you can download a CS6 installer from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/p...

Because the plugins folder is for third party plugins. The required plugins are in the Required folder, inside the application package.

No, Photoshop CS6 is two versions behind the current release of Photoshop CC 2014.

But Photoshop CS6 definitely has the rotate and flip layer commands, in the layer menu where they've been for about 20 years.

Also, Photoshop was first released in 1990.

Then I guess I got PS in 1990. It was a long time ago. I was young then but I'm an old woman now.

CC 2014 also sucks, I tried it. Neither CS6 or CC2014 can transform layers when I try to use them.

Maybe the problem is with my new Powerbook, or the latest Apple OS- but Adobe should have some way of assisting me with this problem. Instead I have to read useless comments by sarcastic idiots. Thanks for nothing.

Thank you for your kind and enlightened reply. Of course! All I have to do is click on "Flip" in order to flip something. Silly me!
