Photoshop: I wish I could transform Smart Objects using Distort and Perspective

Dear Adobe Gripes #1419 & #266

"Why can I use Skew or Warp on Smart Objects in Photoshop, but I can't use Distort or Perspective? How on Earth is Warp simpler or more useful than Distort?"

"Smart Object is great! It'd be greatER if I can use distort and perspective too with it."

In Photoshop CS5, Distort and Perspective transformations are supported with raster Smart Objects:

And if one needs to perspectively transform or warp Vector Smart Objects a work-around is converting it to a Smart Object.

Are you claiming this does not work?
Because it seems to work just fine for me.

I will have to take a course on smart objects. I don't know the difference between a vector smart object and a smart object.

Vector Smart Objects are created by pasting vector content (from Illustrator or Indesign for example) or placing ai, vector eps or pdf files.
Pixel Smart Objects result from placed pixel images (jpg, tif, psd, ...) or Photoshop layers converted to Smart Objects.
