Photoshop: Preference to disable Opacity in HUD

Hi, as a digital painter I use a lot of brush adjustments of the fly. One of them is ALT+Right Horizontal Mouse Drag to adjust the brush size. However, there's a function that also changes the opacity while you drag horizontally. As you paint it's quite easy to swipe at an angle and therefore unintentionally changing the opacity of your brush. At the moment there is no option to disable the opacity change, which is really frustrating and disrupts my workflow quite often. It would be great to have an option int the tool section to disable the opacity change based on HUD movement.

I have got the same problem. Its so often that I change opacity by 1 or 2 percent without recognizing. Its completely ruining workflow with HUD. And you are getting slower because you have to go steps back and restart with 100%. Please add a possibility to disable Opacity!

Hi, are you talking about Hardness or Opacity? I'm not able to get Opacity to change at all via ALT+Right click and drag.

Opacity. "As you paint it's quite easy to swipe at an angle and therefore unintentionally changing the opacity of your brush".

I've been experiencing this issue for over a month now and it's been driving me crazy! Didn't know that this was an actual feature - it's been interrupting my workflow especially with erasing or smudge tool - 100% opacity is completely different from 98 or 99% opacity because then you still have a ghosted image of the thing you just tried to erase. So glad to hear that at least I'm not the only one with this issue. Yes I would love a way to disable any sort of opacity change aside from manually changing it in the UI dialogue box.
