Photoshop: Right-click Artboard layer > Duplicate > New, doesn't copy timeline/keyframes with it

In an attempt to find a way to create a new PSD from an artboard, I found the following workaround:

Right-click Artboard layer > Duplicate Artboard > New

It creates a new document fine, but the problem is, for my particular animated gif project, none of the timeline/keyframes are copied to the new document. I'd guess that the expected behavior would be to have everything associated with the layers copied over when performing this action, yea?

Animations aren't currently Artboard specific, meaning their data model is carried at the document level, not the layer/group/artboard level.

A workaround would be to duplicate the document using Image>Duplicate, then delete the other Artboards.

It might be possible to expand the model in the future to allow separate timelines specific to Artboards.
