Hi Han,

It's working for me.

If I select the top layer press: Cmd + Shift + [ it goes to the bottom of the stack
If I select the bottom layer and press Cmd + Shift + ] it goes to the top

Are you trying to select a background layer?

What OS/version are you?

Hi Jeffrey,

Used to work for me fine on CS5 but on the new version of Photoshop CC, it does completely nothing.

I am working on an OS X version 10.8.5

Hope you can help me out!

If it's not working for you, I would try restoring your prefs: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Howdy Han,

Are you running an English version of PS? Do you have any third-party mouse or tablets installed? Do you have any other apps running which might intercept keyboard commands, including scripts?

If the problem persists, I can do a web-mediated screenshare with you to try and troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I am running a Dutch version of PS. Also I have a Wacom Bamboo Tablet running.

Do you have a solution?

Thanks,

Han

Howdy Han,

First, is the shortcut the same in Dutch as it is in English? Often shortcuts like this change in a localized product.

Second, have you tried to disconnect your tablet? There have been a number of reports of such devices and the associated software intercepting keyboard shortcuts.

Finally, if you continue to have trouble, please just let me know and I can troubleshoot the problem with you live using the internet so we can screenshare.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I found the solution, it seems that in the presets the new shortcut command is (Shift + command + *). I don't know why they changed it.

(In the screenshot you can see it, although it is in Dutch, 'op voorgrond' means 'on top')

I did not know that I can see the presets of the shortcuts in the edit menu.

Sorry and thanks for the help!

Han
