Photoshop: Trouble exporting layer comps to file 'No layer comps found in document

I have a problem exporting layer comps in cs5. When I try to do so I get the message: 'No layer comps found in document!' Is this a bug?

It's a minor bug if the document contains only one Layer Comp. It can be easily solved by opening the script file located in the Photoshop application folder Presets>Scripts>Layer Comps To Files.jsx

Change line 167 from:

if ( compsCount < 1 ) {

Save the script and run it again.

Though, if there's only one comp in the file, it's just as easy to use File>Save As... :)

Photoshop CS6 allows Export Layers Comp commands to work with a document with just one comp.

Do you only have one Layer Comp in your document?

Where did you get the message "cannot write to file"? When trying to save the script? Or when trying to run the script?

Ahh. It's a permissions issue. You may need to open the file as an administrator. (if you're on windows)
