I never saw this my self, but understand it may happen sooner or later. I did a search for "unexpected end of file", and found a lot of posts about the problem. It seems like there is no quick fix. look at this link. There may be something helpful, also in the following comments. http://fontografist.com/tips-tricks/%E2%80%9Cunexpected-end-of-file%E2%80%9D-error-in-photoshop/

Here is also a solution, that might be helpful: http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/adobe/adobe-aa/photoshop/1407-recover-corrupted-psd-file

Never tried it but here's some software that claims to fix it. Use at your own risk.

hi, not sure if anyone is out there to see this, but i am also having the same problem. i worked on several images last night and saved them correctly and exited them before properly quitting photoshop for the night. today, when i click on the application i am receiving the same message. most sources claim that it is a specific file and that i should get said file fixed/recovered...how do i tell which file is the corrupt one? i am having a hard time finding a concrete answer to this problem, and need access to photoshop ASAP. thank you to anyone willing/able to help

Solved by reinstalling to 32 bit version instead of 64 bit. Nothing else worked, not even Windows reinstall.

Hello,

I am trying to migrate my workspace from Photoshop CS5 (12.0 x32) to CS6 (64 bit) (...for the past 2 hours!)

I keep getting error messages no matter who's instructions I follow  (never had a problem doing this in any CS version til now)

These are the 2 most common error messages:

expected xml_token_char_data_k, found xml_token_name_k

could not apply the workspace because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered

I would appreciate some simple help with this. I am begining to think I should just create a new workspace over time...  :(

Thank you for your help.

The file may be damaged. It's probably easier to just recreate the file.
