Lightroom SDK: Ability to apply snapshots programmatically.

methods to apply snapshots would be appreciated. as it stands, we can create them, but then there is no way for a plugin to do anything with them, The user can apply them to individual photos, one by one, but it would be great for a plugin to be able to apply them programmatically. For example, a

Lightroom SDK: Support all data types in custom metadata

This is my #1 feature request for the Lightroom SDK Presently, custom metadata values do not have to be text, but they will be treated as text anyway in library filter & smart collections. There are four problems with this: 1. If plugin assigns a numeric value of 1.667 to some metadata field, as e

Lightroom SDK: plugin preferences are tied to name of plugin folder.

-previous content deleted- I figured out the cause of the problem: I've been passing _PLUGIN object to LrPrefs.prefsForPlugin instead of _PLUGIN.id (or nil). That ties the preferences to an amalgamation of the plugin object that includes the plugin path (instead of the id), so if the plugin folder

Lightroom SDK 6: publish-service's create-collection and create-smart-collection methods sometimes drop the ball - this idea is for remedy..

As things stand in Lr5 SDK: Any plugin can create a collection or smart collection within any publish service, which is good, BUT whether those collections will function correctly or not depends on the programming of the target publish service, which is bad. If there was some way to hook the targe

Lightroom SDK: catalog:setPropertyForPlugin requires full write access, not just private...

API doc says it needs "one of the with-do" gates, which implies: - withWriteAccessDo, *or* - withPrivateWriteAccessDo Most functions throw an error when you try to use private write access when full access is required. This one does not. But it is definitely only reliable with full write access.

Lightroom SDK: LrTasks.execute sometimes never returns.

Most of the time commands like exiftool, ImageMagick's mogrify, sqlite3, ... do what they are supposed to do (when issued via LrTasks.execute), but sometimes they hang (LrTasks.execute never returns). This is driving me crazy. I suspect it's a problem on my system, since others aren't having it (wi

Lightroom SDK: photo:requestJpegThumbnail only works in Library Module.

Lightroom SDK: photo:requestJpegThumbnail does not work in the Develop Module. win 7/64. More info here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/54473... PS - I'm aware this function is not yet released, documented, nor (officially) supported, but I'd rather not wait till it's too late to report it. My a

Lightroom 5 SDK: photo:requestJpegThumbnail makes for wonky-colored previews.

If one uses photo:requestJpegThumbnail in a plugin (and a fresh preview is not already available), the color of the (newly created) image that is returned is off, and the color of the library preview in Lightroom proper will have the same off color, unless one selects the photo in the develop module

Lightroom SDK: Plugin API to unlock database temporarily.

This is one of my highest hopes for the Lightroom SDK As much as I love having a nice API for reading the Lightroom catalog, sometimes a lightening-fast SQL query could return much more info much faster. My present workaround is to issue a command to kill Lightroom, then read the now unlocked Light

Lightroom SDK: catalog:addPhoto fails when adding tif if jpg file present not in catalog

Lightroom SDK: catalog:addPhoto fails when adding tif if jpg file present on disk but not in catalog. To reproduce problem: create two files: /1.x.tif /1.x.jpg then call catalog:addPhoto( "/1.x.tif" ) Both tif and jpg actually get added to the catalog, but the call fails. Preferred behavior:
