Photoshop: Custom Guides (groupable, colorable, nameable guides)

Hi! I've been thinking this for quite a while, and I know most of the web designers out there have the same need... groupable, colorable, nameable guides. It's important to use guides. But sometimes it gets a little messy. What would be perfect is if guides had their own layer-style format. And eac

Missing color in a Press Quality PDF saved from Photoshop

Before I start, I am a layman user and do not understand the technical jargon of Photoshop, so I attached pictures to explain this. I am an indie publisher who makes my own covers for the books. For this book cover and one other, color is completely missing from some of the text when I save it as a

Photoshop: Copy Paste Shape Color

Currently the only way (other than with a script) to copy / paste the color of a shape layer is by double clicking, triple click the hex color, cmd+c, enter to close - then double click other shape layer, triple click hex color, cmd+v, enter to close. I've worked around it with a keyboard maestro r

Big difference between Library Preview and Develop Preview

Since version 10.0, the previews in the Library are quite similar to what the photos look like in Finder. When I switch to Develop, the photo suddenly has quite a bit more contrast and saturation. At first, my sister had this problem. I couldn't find a solution, so I kind of gave up. When I change t

Photoshop crash related to switching colors and gradient tool

A crash sometimes occurs upon switching foreground and background using "x" key. Usually (perhaps always) occurs while gradient tool is selected, and often when the default foreground-to-transparent gradient is selected. Problem occurs in both Photoshop CS6 (individually-purchased program) and Photo

Lightroom Classic: Please integrate the new Color Grading tool with Adobe Color.

The new Grading tool was the perfect opportunity to finally integrate Adobe Color with a useful tool in Lr/Ps, but sadly not yet.How awesome would it be to pick a primary color, then use a harmony rule to auto-populate the other two colors? Or in split-tone mode, choose one color and have the other

Photoshop: Why does the delete key bring up the Fill dialog in Photoshop CS5, CS6?

When I use the delete key to delete a selection in a background layer in Photoshop CS5, it brings up the Fill dialog. How do I get back the old behavior where the selection is filed with the background color?

Dynamic Color Pallet - Endless color themes without the work!

Talking with my buddy I came up with the thought that what if you had a dynamic color pallet? Say your website design is going to have 5 colors. You pick them and then everything follows suit. After you deliver it to a client they say... eh... I want to have all of the colors changed to xyz. Crap...

I Love Lightroom's Color Rendering

I still occasionally compare results between Lightroom and Nx2. One thing I consistently find better about Lightroom is the shadow color rendering - its always well saturated, nicely graded tonal transitions, and beautiful! (In Nx2, shadows are often under-saturated, and sort-of anemic/un-healthy

Photoshop: Can we have an option not to change the color contrast when we increase or decrease the contrast?

Can we have a check button on tools like Curves, Levels, Brightness/Contrast that disables the change in contrast of the "color" but enables only the change in "lightness or darkness tone" when checked. So that we don't have to deal with the color again after we increase the contrast?

Lightroom/Camera Raw: HSL Luminance Constraint

Presently, we can adjust hue, saturation, & luminance: constrained by hue (the 8 different HSL colors). I'd really like to be able to constrain HSL adjustments based on luminance range too. A saturation constraint would also be nice, or even the ability to fine tune the hue constraints, but a lumin

Photoshop: 3D COLOR STUDIO - applying natural phenomena on colors

Adobe’s color tools are quite abstract currently. I think they don’t use enough our daily experience with natural visual phenomena. So I suggest an aditional (not instead) and natural way, which would allow us to combine theory and direct experience, depending on situation and needs. We all know 3D
