Lightroom Contrast Slider ( Lets Move It )

Okay, I often find myself fine tuning my photographs within the Histogram... That's what it's there for right!? The Histogram has all the important quick handles to adjust, black's, shadows, exposures, highlights, and whites. Now, How about we move contrast up there somewhere. It could be above,

Lightroom: Need more Contrast in Text and Background of Lightroom Modules

Ever since Lightroom 2, 3, and 4 Beta, in the Develop and other Modules, the contrast between text and the surrounding screen has been to small. This makes it hard for tired older eyes to perceive where the stars are or colors are when rating an image. Especially bad after a long day and then late a

When no star ratings are applies to the photo the light grey stars shown may be mistaken for a five star rating. I would like to see a white star for the selected stars and black, or no display, of the unselected stars on the tool bar.

Lightroom/Camera Raw: Targeted Contrast Enhancement

The idea is to bring about tonal separation in specified regions, primarily for local application (e.g. adjustment brush and graduated filter). For example, one could specify: - Darkest tone to be affected. - Lightest tone to be affected. - Mid-tone (contrast 'S' curve split point). This way on

Lightroom/Camera Raw: Grain tool modified so as not to effect contrast

I'm amazed at the way the Grain algorithm works, but when any grain is applied it lowers contrast. Highlights get dark dots and therefore gain density. Shadows get white dots added to them and therefore get lighter. The overall effect is lower contrast. When I add noise in Photoshop I add a contrast

Photoshop CC: Contrast and Gradient tool problem with lines across image (banding/quantization)

I purchased Photoshop CC a few months ago and it was working well, but over the past 2 or so months when I use the gradient tool or the contrast tool it creates slight lines across my image. I have asked many photography and laptop experts but they can't seam to find what the problem is. Please can

Photoshop: Can we have an option not to change the color contrast when we increase or decrease the contrast?

Can we have a check button on tools like Curves, Levels, Brightness/Contrast that disables the change in contrast of the "color" but enables only the change in "lightness or darkness tone" when checked. So that we don't have to deal with the color again after we increase the contrast?

Lightroom: CLAHE / local contrast enhancement

A long, long time ago (1985) I invented the CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization) which is a pretty good way to enhance local contrast in images. I published source code of this method in 1994 - and to my surprise, that article is frequently cited in new work that uses CLAHE in ap

Lightroom/Camera Raw: Highlight *Detail* Recovery

First I'd like to say how totally stoked I am that Highlight Recovery is working so much better than it used to - thank you, thank you, thank you... Second, the recovered highlights still lack detail and are flat - the recovered highlight tones tend to be compressed. If I have the time, I often use

Photomerge Contrast Problem in CC 2014

Photomerge seems to be introducing large amounts of contrast in the CC 2014 (15.1.0) version. Here is an infrared pano (only edit is cropping). Note that the histogram is blocking-up in the shadows and that highlights have been pushed almost to blowing-out. Meanwhile, the same source files run t

Lightroom: Non-linear (luminosity mode) curves/contrast

I really really wish there was an option for curves and contrast to behave as they do in photoshop (and every other program for that matter). accessibility contrast checking in Photoshop

It's a real pain to be creative and be sure what we're doing is accessible to people with low vision. Currently we have to copy hex codes over to the Juicy Studio website to check whether the contrast is accessible. It would be better to be able to do it in Photoshop without having to copy anything.

Lightroom/ACR: preserve intra-whites contrast.

Lightroom/ACR (PV2012) does a great job at recovering detail in highlights, in general. It's one of it's most touted strengths. However, sometimes detail in whites suffers. ref: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/105018... I would love if there was some way to preserve intra-whites contrast, for the s

Some have suggested my priorities are unclear since I say "Good Idea / +1 vote" to a lot of things, even if they wouldn't be top priorities for me. So, to be clear: Develop Module: 1. Fix Highlight Recovery (does not work well with twisted profiles. Flat -n pink springs to mind...) 2. Smo

Lightroom/Camera Raw: Local contrast adjustments that are actually localized
