Camera Raw - Shadow recovery doesn't work on image with no Highlights.

There is a bug in recovering shadows and backs in Camera Raw. I shoot panorama and I need to sync all picture to have same setting. On one picture where are Highlights I can boost Shadows, no problem. On picture taken with same settings, but there are no Highlights, I can't boost Shadows. If I boost

Lightroom 4.1: Brushed Highlights not working correctly

I have an image which was fine in previous Lr4 releases, but is not fine in Lr4.1 final. Here's a painted moon showing mask overlay: And here it is with mask overlay turned off: As shown above, the local adjustment values are: * Highlights -20 * Saturation 10 to try and even out some ove

Lightroom: Hover to HIDE red highlight indicators

When the 'show blown highlights in red' feature is turned OFF, if you hover over the icon, it temporarily shows you the red highlights. For those of us who normally leave the icon ON, it would be nice if hovering over the icon could temporarily not show red highlights (i.e. show you the 'real' pic

Lightroom: Expand highlights and shadows range for 16bit floating point and 32bit images

When using "Merge to HDR" in Lightroom, the resulting 16 bit floating point DNG gets auto toned to be displayed as a useful exposure, where you can see the image (I'm not talking about the auto tonemap-option in the merge dialog itself!) You have (as you have with 32 bit Tiff) the possibility to set

Lightroom: 'blown highlights' should identify permanently blown highlights

When using the 'blown highlights' display it would be nice if it indicated straight away by using a different colour (e.g. a different shade of red, or pink or something) which parts are 'permanently' blown i.e. they went off the end of the sensor range and can't be corrected. You can find this ou

Lightroom: LR 4.1 Problem: Highlight Clipping randomly comes up

Basically in development mode while editing the highlight clipping indicators(highlights and/or shadows) randomly come up every 10-15 images or so after a preset is applied. Very annoying and the only way(that I know of) to turn it off is to hit(twice) one of those buttons on the graph that suppos

Lightroom: differential noise reduction

Due to the laws of physics, the signal to noise ratio in our images is better in the higher tonal ranges than in the shadows and dark regions. Therefore, I'd like to suggest two knobs on the noise reduction slider: one for the degree of noise reduction in the highlights, one for noise reduction in t

Lightroom 4b: improve basic tone controls.

My experience with Lr4b (PV2012) basic tone controls is often "precarious": It is often difficult to get a balance of settings that looks good from one end of the tone curve to the other. It's supposed to be easier (or at least not so much harder). I think Adobe has not yet met that goal. It seems

Lightroom / Camera Raw highlights/shadows amount, tone and radius adjustments

It will be really great if both Lightroom and Camera Raw could have few of Photoshop Smart Filters options, which are allowing to adjust amount, tone and radius for both shadows and highlights. Mid tones settings will be useful too. This features could be as advanced settings activated if needed, so

In Lightroom CC2015 issue with Highlights slider?

I just upgraded to LR CC15. I've got a photo with the following settings: Exposure +0.95 Contrast 0 Highlights -62 Shadows +34 Whites +100 Blacks -5 I noticed that when I move the Highlights slider further to the left, the image becomes lighter again! That should not happen should it? From

I Love Adobe Standard Profile

While its still a little magenta-y sometimes for my tastes (I frequently knock 5 to 10 off the tint when using it), there are some things it seems consistently better at than the other profiles. One of those things is highlight rendering. And since the D300 version of it no longer has the hue shifts

Lightroom: Get more control over split toning

It would be great to have more control over the split toning tool. For example it would be very helpful if the affected areas could be defined with a masking tool.A third slider to define toning of midtones is also missing as a slider to keep skin tones unaffected. It would be great to keep people l

Lightroom: Desaturate Highlights and Shadows

In retouching there are many times when the highlights (or shadows) are contaminated by colours that should not be there. An example would be interior shots where different light sources were used (say daylight and tungsten), or where a wide angle lens has caused magenta/green shading on a white wal

Photoshop: Color Balance-- allow us to adjust midtones, highlights, and shadows all at once

Many times I want to adjust the color balance of the entire photo. A free software program, Irfanview, makes adjustments to the R,G,B channels apply to the entire image. Photoshop, however, allows only adjustments to the midtones, highlights, and shadows individually. It would be a simple fix and

Lightroom/ACR: preserve intra-whites contrast.

Lightroom/ACR (PV2012) does a great job at recovering detail in highlights, in general. It's one of it's most touted strengths. However, sometimes detail in whites suffers. ref: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/105018... I would love if there was some way to preserve intra-whites contrast, for the s

Lightroom Feature Request List - Prioritized.

Some have suggested my priorities are unclear since I say "Good Idea / +1 vote" to a lot of things, even if they wouldn't be top priorities for me. So, to be clear: Develop Module: 1. Fix Highlight Recovery (does not work well with twisted profiles. Flat -n pink springs to mind...) 2. Smo

Lightroom: "Show clipping" (Red & Blue) appear in areas that are not fully Blown out or fully black. Why?

Is there a reason that the Red & Blue warning shadings appear on an image in areas that are properly blown out or fully black?
