Photoshop: non-destructive mask editing using adjustments (curves)

I'd like to be able to use a non-destructive curves adjustment on a mask. I do a lot of complex masking, and it would help if I could use curves to temporarily add contrast to dark or light areas of the mask. Even better would be the ability to use the luminosity of a layer group or a smart object

Photoshop: Non Destructive liquify

Has made my life better. Liquify didn't really fit into my workflow before because of its destructive properties, and I used it sparingly. Now with this beautiful implementation–and the ability to use it with warp I see it becoming a primary tool. Well done.
