Lightroom SDK: viewFactory:picture - crashes Lightroom when picture data is a little wonky

Doesn't take much to bring down the house. Jpeg files that are (not perfect but) viewable with ACDSee & NX2, will bring Lightroom all the way down. A bit of robustening would not be contra-indicated... To recreate problem, try inserting cr/lf at the front of a jpeg file, then try to view it with t

Lightroom SDK: catalog:getCurrentViewFilter() documentation error

API doc for catalog:getCurrentViewFilter() has: searchTarget: (string) The active search target, one of "all", "filename", "copyname", "title", "caption", "keyword", "metadata", "iptc", "exif", "allPluginMetadata". "keyword" should be plural, i.e. "keywords". Rob

Lightroom SDK: Ability to display preview of raw images and/or video thumb for files not in catalog.

Some plugins would benefit from the ability to display preview of raw images and/or video thumb for files not in catalog, e.g. via a robustening of the picture component. And please consider specifying supported file types in the api doc.

Lightroom SDK: Event Notification

Problem: It is difficult to keep custom metadata ala plugins up to date. Present workarounds I know of: - Have a background thread constantly poll for changes to dependencies. - User must manually initiate updates. The former solution takes far more prowess (and time/effort) on the part of the p

Lightroom SDK: Eject Disk

In case I'm still using an import plugin come Lr4, an "Eject" function would make a nice touch. This would go nice with Import Actions too: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

Lightroom SDK: expose sort order to plugins.

As it stands, there is no good way for a plugin to determine sort order. This makes it hard to take action which maintains sort order in exported files, especially when exporting is via publish service.

Lightroom (4.1) SDK: catalog_photo - orientation is sometimes wrong.

Sometimes catalog_photo component displays the orientation wrong (e.g. portraits displayed in landscape orientation). Usually it's right, but once it gets it wrong (which *seems* (so far) to be inspired by nothing in particular), I have found no way to remedy except rotating the source photo any ol

Lightroom SDK: Support export filters in on-the-fly exports via LrExportSession

Try as I have, I've not been able to do an export via exportSession:doExportOn[New|Current]Task method and include exportFilter in the export session's export settings. It would be useful to be able to do that. For example, my plugin ExportManager which allow one to start multiple exports at the sam

Lightroom SDK: allow objects for export & export filter

Presently one must pass procedural function names for each export/filter hook. For those of us using object-oriented methodology, it would be favorable to be able to return a class or object instead of a list of functions. For example, in an export filter implementation file: Instead of this: re

Lightroom SDK: supply export context info to (export) filter contexts.

As it stands, an export filter can't tell whether it's being invoked as part of a publish service or not. That would be useful in some cases (e.g. to make use of publish-collection-info). etc.. Such information is available in the export-context object, but not the filter-context object.

Lightroom SDK: LrMath.log( value, base )
