Lightroom: Problems creating Smart Collection filtered by months and capture date

Filtering a smart collection by "Capture Date" and Months sometimes doesn't work. I have a smart collection filtering by "captured in the last 5 months but not in the last 4 months" and I get almost all of the pictures in my catalogue in the collection. I'm using LR3.4.1

Lightroom 4: Smart Collection to identify twin-files

I am trying to set up a Smart Collection that will enable me to easily find twin-files: shots that were written to card and imported into Lightroom as separate JPEG and NEF files (e.g. SMW_6948.JPG and SMW_6948.NEF). Thus, I’d be able to isolate these from shots that were saved and imported as eithe

Lightroom: Smart coll. with time-based rules: Number of photos not updated as time changes

For example: When the computer's date changes, and a smart collection "capture date in the last X days" contains e.g. 50 photos before midnight, and 40 after midnight on the new day, the smart collection as such works correctly, i.e. selecting something else and then the smart collection again will

Lightroom: Lock lib-filtered and smart-collected contents temporarily so photos don't disappear...

I often round up photos to work on using the library filter or a smart collection. Unfortunately, as soon as I start working on them, they often disappear - you know what I'm talking about, right? (criteria that was holding the photo(s) gets cleared). How about a lock button, such that the contents

When I add a "Pick Flag" filter to a Smart Collection I always have to change it to say "is not" and "rejected" (the default is "is" "flagged"). It would be great if Lightroom could learn my default and just do the right thing for me. It would be good (but not as great) if I could configure the de

Lightroom: Create smart collections based on "Lens ID" or arbitrary Exif fields

I have taken photos with a Nikon 14mm f/2.8 lens and a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens and I would like to be able to create a smart collection differentiating each of them. Lightroom: Locking smart collections to support global pre-filter and privacy.

If Lightroom allowed the user to specify that a smart collection stay selected, then smart collections could be used to define persistent global pre-filters, and if a password was required to deselect, then they could also be used to implement password protected discretionary viewing (e.g. privacy).
